The fiery/southern-spiced track was produced by G-Sparkz, and appears to be theofficial singleoff of Remy’s forthcoming, yet unnamedcomeback album, which is highly anticipated.
Remy was released from prison on August 1, 2014, and ever since then, her primary goal has been to re-introduce herselfto a world that she departed from 6 years ago; and the best way of reinserting her brand back in the public’s eye, was joining the cast of Love & Hip-Hop (season 6), which airs today on VH1 at 8:00p.m.; where peoplewill get to see the different aspects of Remy’s private life, while she juggles the responsibilities of being a wife, a mother, an entrepreneur, and most importanta unique feminine voice in Hip-Hop.
Remy Ma achieved her first musical accomplishment in 2005, when Terror Squad (Fat Joe, Remy Ma, etc.) received a Grammy nomination for “Best Rap Performance” for their 2004 hit-single, “Lean Back”;and later that year, Remy won “Best Female Rapper” atthe BET Awards. In 2006, Remy released her debut album, “There’s Something About Remy: Based on a True Story”, which peaked at number 2 on Billboards’ US Top Rap Albums chart, number 33 on Billboard 200 chart, and number 7 on Billboard’s US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. Swizz Beatz produced the lead single, “Whuteva”,which was followed up with the women’s empowerment anthem, “Conceited”, produced by Scott Storch; and then, “Feel So Good”,featuring Ne-Yo; all of which are still relevant today; and Remy’s new single, “Hands Down”, is following in the same successful footsteps as herabove-mentioned hits.
Keep up with Remy Ma!
