Queenie Zoe by Bomin Kim

Inspired by Samiljeol (Independence Movement Day in Korea) and the start of modernization for Korean women, creative director Bomin Kim has designed a series of gowns in a bold, feminine style. With references to traditional late 19th century silhouettes, elaborate empire line dresses with ruffled tiered godets and leg of mutton sleeves gave a sense of grandeur. Fur trims and large flouncy bows adorned the collection, and a velvet dress with exaggerated pointed collar brought beautiful contrast in black and white. The finale look incorporated a traditional Hanbok style dress with large oversized sleeves and patchwork fabrics.

Global Fashion Collective Presents Queenie Zoe

It is no secret that from the moment this first look hit the runway I was in aw of every detail. The modesty yet sleek lines was everything a woman wants in a sophisticated look. It gave me such a classic vibe with such a cultured tone, that only further revealed it self as looks glided down the runway. There was not one thing wrong with this collection by Bomin Kim.

The first looked pulled me in so tight my eyes never left the runway, I was glued, gasping as the fur looks lead to the closing of the collection only to knock me off my feet with that gorg closer. It was full on Asian Goddess and I wanted to own every last piece.

Bomin Kim you are a talent, a genius, and a true creator. You embodied what a runway show should be. You get what a collection should hold. The line up of looks truly graduated and pulled at my fashion loving heart.

I anxiously await your next collection, because this clearly was just a taste. Below you will find my favorite looks of the night including that amazing final look!
